Wow! What a morning!
Pete The Dragon of Doldrums and I have been blown away by the talent shown at today’s Starry Night Workshop… There was no fear of using colour and there were attempts at using palette knives as well as brushes.
We looked at Aja from Sagittarius Gallery’s modern take on Van Gogh and her use of colour and animals as inspiration. My own piece is a work in progress as I decided to join in and demonstrate techniques with it but it’s definitely not finished and I have had some fantastic recommendations from my Sparks on how I can expand it more. This is what I love! How each Spark comes though the door kind of quiet and a bit unsure, but after a while they are making supporting each other’s creativity and making suggestions – thinking outside the box.
I can not wait for our next Sunday class and for future school holiday sessions!
As this one went so well it’s definitely on the cards to be repeated – I’d love suggestions on what you would like!
