I can hardly find the words to express the overwhelming joy and gratitude that fills my heart upon winning the 2023 Tendring4Growth Award. It’s a moment is etched in my memory, a culmination of the dedication, passion, and the unwavering support of an incredible community.
As I sat, listening to the announcement, a rush of emotions washed over me. The recognition of Creative Sparks Workshop is not just a personal triumph, but a testament to the incredible journey we’ve undertaken together. Every stroke of the brush, every moment of artistic discovery, and every instance of kindness shared among our Sparks has led us to this point.
The Creative Sparks Workshop has always been about more than just art. It’s about nurturing creativity and compassion in every individual, young and old. It’s about unveiling the therapeutic power that resides within the act of creation. To see the Sparks not only evolve as artists but also blossom into empathetic, wonderful souls has been nothing short of awe-inspiring.
The inaugural exhibition last January was a turning point, not just for us, but for our community. The funds raised for Hope for Grace were a testament to the potential that lies within the fusion of creativity and kindness. Now, as we look ahead, we’re committed to continuing this journey, supporting local children’s causes, and expanding our reach to touch even more lives, whilst instilling kindness and empathy in the Sparks.
The heartfelt testimonial from a parent on the night still echoes in my mind, “Michelle has helped my daughter to grow in confidence as both an artist and a person.” It encapsulates the essence of what Creative Sparks Workshop aims to achieve – to instill confidence, resilience, and vital coping skills through the power of art.
I am filled with excitement for what the future holds. As we branch out to the Clacton on Sea area, we’ll be able to reach even more students, providing them with the opportunity to experience the transformative magic of Creative Sparks Workshop.
